About: Ted
Born Honolulu, Hawaii USA, 1964
Graduated from Waipahu High School Class of 1982 (Go! Marauders) and went to Air Force Basic training that summer. Held AFSC's in Avionics Comm/Nav Systems on F-4 Phantom Fighters, Electronic Warfare Systems on the F-15 Eagle Fighter, Readiness operations and Combat Comm Systems Operations. USAFR Retired in 2003. Currently a Techie Boss with an Information Technology Solutions Provider. I have been married to my better half for 28 years and have 2 kids out of that deal and was made a grandpa with 2 Grandson's.
I have been fascinated with knives since I was a kid, my dad is a retired Army Infantry MSG and so I grew up around guns, knives and tough men. The things that I enjoy outside of work also contribute to my love of steel such as hunting, fishing, hiking and the Filipino martial arts. Through the years I have been blessed to meet and build friendships with other knife collectors, knife purveyors and knife makers from around the world. My collection does not have a theme or focus as I collect what mainly catches my eye. But if there is one knife company that I really enjoy collecting and learning the history of it, that would be the John Ek Commando Knife Co.
